    • At Sahara EMS College we envisage a country and a continent where every citizen will have access to evidence-based, technologically-driven and affordable emergency cardiovascular care and knowledge so as to minimize the debilitating effects of cardiovascular emergencies.
    • We believe that Universal Emergency Care literacy is possible. Our dream is to take emergency cardiovascular care knowledge and skills to every household in Kenya and beyond.
    • Timely access to emergency cardiovascular care depends on an educated and skilled population.
  • NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS, NAEMT

In partnership with our local PHTLS training sites, at Sahara EMS College, we are at the forefront in trying to answer the GOLDEN QUESTION posed by the founder of PHTLS education, Dr Norman McSwain: “What have you done today for the good of mankind?” Led by our Head of Training, NAEMT Instructor and Member #687136, our clarion call is: “What have you done today to promote PHTLS education in Kenya and Africa and ultimately ensure that trauma patients receive the best and timely care possible?”
 According to the National Transport and Safety Authority, NTSA Kenya, we lost over 4,000 people through Road Traffic Accidents between January and November, 2021. This is almost equal to the total fatalities for COVID-19
    between March 2020 and November 2021. (https://www.capitalfm.co.ke/news/2021/11/4000-people-died-of-road-
accidents-in-kenya-since-january/ ) One PHTLS training at a time, we are hopeful that we will be able to have enough
PHTLS Practitioners and Educators to reduce the tragic number of deaths and fatal life-time injuries due to road traffic accidents and other traumatic incidents in Kenya and the entire African continent in general.
 As the father of PHTLS rightfully said; “We have accepted this responsibility, we endeavor to give trauma patients in Kenya and Africa the best chance of survival”. This is only possible if we get more people trained and certified in PHTLS.
